Veteran Services

Serving those who served.

Our nation’s veterans are equipped with experience and training that employers value. That’s why Workforce Alabama has a comprehensive employment support system that’s committed to connecting veterans with meaningful career opportunities—all provided by veterans who understand.

Veteran-to-Veteran Service Delivery

Our employment representatives support veterans with knowledge backed by their own firsthand service experiences.

Personalized Career Support

Our representatives provide assistance specifically tailored to the individual’s skills, goals and circumstances.

Job Readiness Assistance

Veterans receive the assistance they need to be ready for the job, including résumé development, interview preparation, helping facilitate employer connections and sharing strategies for job searching.

Apprenticeship & Training Access

We help place veterans in paid apprenticeships and on-the-job (OTJ) training.

Resource Navigation

Our team is ready to refer veterans to additional services and benefits programs to ensure they receive the best support.

In accordance with federal regulations, veterans and eligible spouses receive priority of service at all Alabama Career Centers.
