Apprenticeships

Develop a future apprentice

Together with the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship (AOA), we help you connect students to sustainable careers and support them along the way.

Connect students to careers

Apprenticeships are training opportunities that allow students to earn money while they learn, offering career pathways to long-term employment.

These apprenticeships offer a wide range of opportunities in industries, including construction, carpentry, healthcare and information technology and offers students:

  • Employer Involvement
  • On-the-Job Training
  • Related Technical Training
  • Paid Work Experience
  • Portable, Nationally Recognized Industry Credentials

Why should educators encourage and facilitate apprenticeships?

By connecting classroom teaching with on-the-job learning, educators can help students see real world applications, keeping curriculum relevant and modern. This work-based learning makes for a great way for students to gain work experience.

Through apprenticeships, employers and educators can collaborate to shape students’ interests toward career pathways in fields aligned with interests and aptitudes. They can also engage young learners early.
