Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) modernizes the public workforce system to better serve today’s workers and employers. It brings together employment, education and training programs into a more connected system, helping people find good jobs, stay employed and build lasting careers.
Through WIOA, the system delivers resources, services and leadership tools that are needed to support individual success while helping employers compete in a global economy. The result is a streamlined, integrated system that creates clear pathways to opportunity and continuously improves how services are delivered.
This project is funded 100% with federal funds made available to the Alabama Department of Commerce by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration.
