Workforce Secretary Greg Reed Names Keisha Crenshaw as Human Resources Director of the Department of Workforce

MONTGOMERY – Alabama Department of Workforce Secretary Greg Reed announced that Keisha Crenshaw has been named as Human Resources Director for the department.

“I am happy to announce Keisha Crenshaw’s position as Human Resources Director,” said Reed. “She has been a valuable state employee for many years and is dedicated to this department. Her experience and commitment will help ADOW to develop a strong and professional agency.”

With more than 20 years’ experience, Crenshaw previously served as the Acting Human Resources Director for the department, and began her career in Emergency Communication with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

In her new role as HR Director for the Alabama Department of Workforce, Keisha is focused on advancing the agency’s mission, improving employee engagement, and aligning HR strategies with the State’s workforce development goals.

“Having spent ten years in leadership roles, I have a proven track record of managing teams, training development, implementing organizational change, and creating policies that enhance workforce productivity and satisfaction. I remain deeply committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment where employees can thrive,” said Crenshaw.

The Human Resources Division manages all employment and employee training for the agency.

Crenshaw holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management and an Executive MBA from Faulkner University.

Last year’s “Alabama Workforce Transformation Act” legislation added to and renamed the Department of Labor as the Alabama Department of Workforce.
